swirls of mist cloud my mind
leading me to nowhere.
i know not what is happening.
i know not where you are.
you can do no wrong-
a pearl in my minds eye.
nothing holds my interest
nothing can heal this pain.

will it never end? will it never cease?
closure seems far away.
stretching my mind along with it,
to the limits unknown.

Panic! Fear! Anxiety! Embarrassment! Things were not quite together. ‘Aar’ could not understand what was happening! She couldn’t explain it even if she tried! It could be compared to making a donkey understand that it has no chance of getting in to Broadway, even if it were the only hope left for the survival of the arts.

What happened, you ask? Well, here’s the tale of terror.

8:30 a.m. - Monday, the 23rd of Some month of Dome year, somewhere across the galaxy. The Red Star was on the horizon. Crickets were chirping. Everyone was gearing themselves up for another day in the cat-race of life. ‘Aar’woke up with a feeling of absolute confidence that nothing could go wrong that day. NOTHING was going to stand in her way – or so she thought.

The day started with her usual ablutions- a long bath in a stream of lava, to cool of the body and then topped it off with a quick dip in a tub of dry ice. She slipped into her “Sunday-best”, a suit of sheer fabric made of the finest material in the world, a suit of aluminium foil. ‘Aar’ looked dazzling. Leaving her room, she made her way down to the kitchen where her mother and father, Mr. and Mrs. Rayz-on, were carrying on their habitual chores. Mr. Rayz-on was reading the daily journal while Mrs. Rayz-on was busy preparing breakfast for the family- her 4 brothers and 5 sisters and of course the family pom dog. The scene, on that day, seemed unusually quiet, considering that the house wasn’t exactly vacant or devoid of people. But it was a school day which explained it all. (to be continued...)

Colorful lights. Hazy mist.
The essence of lavender fills the room.
Sense of peace. A sense of calm.
Resting on your shoulders is nothing but your head. Light-headed as it may be.
Soulful strains of soothing music.
Psychedelic surroundings. World on a different level.
A feeling matched by nothing. Beat by none. Parallel to none.
Calling on the paranormal, the start of an experience, never to be forgotten.
Light breeze swishes the curtains.

ba-da boom ba-da boom boom shakalaka ba-da boom shakalaka boom ba-da boom bam wham stttsssssstttt *whistle* boom boom and foithermore boom.

It's that time of year again when people go completely insane and blow away their money as well as everyone elses eardrums ( not like people are sane the rest of the year but that's not the point). Try living next to a family that has a 2 crore mansion and feel that money DOES grow on trees. You will never have to get out and buy crackers yourself or go to a club for these few days if you want to witness a spectacular show. It's never ending! 3 lakh wallas, 500 rockets at one go(3 -5 sets of these at that!) , the bombs, the pots...the list goes on and on. Oh and open invitation-anyone interested in coming next year for it is quite welcome! These people are going Nowhere!

Now, you must understand that i have no problem with people blowing away their money, after all it's their problem but spare us!! I love the rockets and flower pots and the like but when it comes to the bombs- i could scream!!! aargh my head! splitting headache doesn't help really.

But the essence of it all is what makes all this totally bearable - people getting together and enjoying themselves(for which we really don't need a reason though), the sweets! oo god bless the soul who started making those incredible works of art *slurp*, the lights-EVERYTHING!
Finally , i'd just like to wish everyone a very happy and safe diwali(i know, it's nearly over but the thought that counts-so spare me!) Have fun you guys! Love you all!
