Trivial?! Don't be too sure.

1. A rainbow rising out of the storm.
2. The smell of rain on a warm summer's day.
3. Dew drops formed on leaves on a foggy day.
4. Butterflies fluttering around you when you're down.
5. Complete silence to reflect.
6. Playing around in the rain without any worries.
7. Playing in the mud without worrying about how you look.
8. Company of people who you don't really have to talk to, to be heard.
9. A beautiful sunrise and sunset.
10. People who really love you.

These are some of the rights,of sorts, that have been bestowed upon us which we never seem to appreciate. In this day and age, almost everyone is so self-involved that we hardly take the time to stop and take insome of the best gifts one could receive or give. This morning I felt really happy only because my day started off with a view of a beautiful rainbow spread across the horizon. They might not be rich in the material sense of the word but are rich in their own natural way. Take time. Relax. Enjoy. We might be the lucky few who can enjoy the true treasures of life...

I am mine

" Everything that lives,
lives not alone,
lives not for itself."
-William Blake

In this dog-eat-dog world, that's what people fail to understand. Or rather fail to accept and tend to ignore.
Gratitude and indebtedness are as short-lived as a bar of chocolate in a diabetic's refridgerator.

I never truly understood this aspect of the human memory. When in need, help is craved and sought out.
Help recieved, formalities bartered and things go back to normal. But when the time comes to return that
favour once released upon you, the person tends to forget, and forget he does. It never seems important enough to retain in the precious pockets of our memory. Why waste invaluable space on these things when there are more important things like..um..oh let's see...the cost of this cosmetic, the timings of a particular movie, when this girl went out with that guy's friend's ex-girlfriend's ex-boyfriend. Frivality seems to prevail today.

It's like what my dad says-- humans are probably the most ungrateful, undeserving species that could ever be created.
Animals don't ever hold grudges against you if you do something to them. They are loyal and true to themselves. And what makes us "superior" to the other animals..just the fact that we have an auditory advantage over them. We are as brutal, probably more, more savage, and could never match the faithfulness and love that animals show you even if we tried.

What's keeping us from realising that there's a lot more to life than just monetary value? We got lost somewhere along the path..
it's about time we made our way back.

musings of the dark

Where the moon rises and the sun sets, that's where it lies.
Buried, deep down under the layers of soil.
Trampled upon by the never ending treads.
No one knows what lies beneath nor do they care.
After all they aren't the ones looking upward.

Free from it all, but not completely.
The irony is beyond the understandable.
Bogged down and yet not exactly; by something so uncommon.
Nourished by the despair and gloom, growing on it;
Minute by minute while the leech sucks the life out of another.

Filled with life, like none other; filled to the brim
Waiting to get out, eager and anxious, but it isn't easy.
Fate had something else on her mind.
Destiny wouldn't allow it either.
The End is near, too close for comfort.

and so it goes on...

Well, might look like another blog with an article about how we have reached another year and how things have changed and the like.. but ain't that the truth now!? And it is that time of the year so i'm gonna do just the same!(for those buggers who don't give a shit.. the exit's that-a-way!..leaves me with very few comments but you can shove it..)

Just came back from a friend's party.. good fun. Met quite a few people whom i haven't seen in ages! WOW!The change...just a year or 2 without contact and so much has happened..trivial it might be, even so! At the end of every year, the same thought comes to mind,"this year went by pretty fast!" Somehow, this year seemed even more so.. with the boards and zillion entrances (*argh*), and then stepping into college and a whole new list of activities and friends and whole new environment.

Time flies and you never know when it's gonna hit you in the face. I wouldn't say this year has been a total waste- i've had the chance to rekindle some lost friendships and the year ending was much better than when it did start... now i'm looking forward to the year ahead. My share of downs will never stop, but i know through it all there will always be someone there, especially my family. I've realised that though they might get on my nerves sometimes, they are the only people who will stick with me through thick and thin. I wouldn't be here if it wasn't for them.. LOL. I know there's no connection between the beginning of this post and now but this is the best way i can put this up. Definitely looking forward to this year and everything ahead. I know there's plenty out there.. just have to wait and see.
